PROVIDENCE, R.I. (AP) — Oscar the cat seems to have an uncanny knack for predicting when nursing home patients are going to die, by curling up next to them during their final hours. His accuracy, observed in 25 cases, has led the staff to call family members once he has chosen someone. It usually means they have less than four hours to live.

I never pictured the Simpsons as being from Vermont: “It’s Duff time in Springfield, Vt., which on Tuesday was proclaimed the official hometown of TV’s favorite dysfunctional family, the Simpsons. The southeastern Vermont community beat out 13 other Springfields for the honor, which includes hosting the premiere of “The Simpsons Movie” on July 26th

Many movie-goers have been emailing me to find out about the mysterious trailer being played in front of “Transformers.” When I went to see the movie, as soon as the trailer came on, half the theater got their cell phones out to record it.
